Mobile App Showcase - Using Adobe Express to Pitch your App

For CMPE 137 (Mobile Software Engineering), the students are experiencing a ‘simulation’ of being in a mobile software developer company and having to deliver an app that follows a few requirements by the end of the semester. Their premise is that they have to identify a need in which a mobile application can provide some valuable input/understanding to their users. The assessment uses all of the Adobe Express features to elevate students’ presentation skills to showcase all the relevant aspects of their apps, including a video demo of the developed work throughout the semester.

Have you been able to forge relationships with your peers and your professors? If you could change something what would it be?  What is one key take-away from completing this assignment for you, and do you think this assignment made you reflect on the concept of belongingness? Reflect on your experience using Adobe Express for this assignment.

A Digital Counterstory Project: From Design to Reflection

The purpose of this assignment is for students to collect counterstories from an undergraduate student and connect the experiences of the student to contemporary issues in higher education. This assignment is two parts: One collecting an interview and second turning that interview into a digital counterstory where the students connect concepts from the counterstory to themes of contemporary issues in higher education.

Collaborating on a Sport Psychology Infographic

In this assignment students will express and apply a sport psychology theory to social justice through an infographic. After getting randomly assigned a theory related to motivation and leadership, students will work in groups of five or six students to create an infographic with the following information: a visual depiction of the theory, an application of the theory to a social justice issue, and inclusion of at least two scholarly research articles.

Fostering a Culture of Belonging: Use of Adobe Podcast, Audition, Express Video

This project incorporated Adobe Creative Cloud applications into a Cultural Competence for Information Professionals course. Through the use of individual experimentation with Adobe Audition, Express Audio, and Podcast, students were able to deepen their understanding of fostering empathetic understanding and intellectual growth. These tools were a great starting point for students to interact with diverse platforms and use critical thinking. These Adobe tools foster a culture of belonging within the classroom as students utilize a platform to voice their own diverse voices - allowing students to feel seen, heard, and valued.
