New Academic Programs
Use this process to propose a new degree, credential, or certificate program.

Program Revisions
Use this process to revise an existing academic program.
- Major or minor revisions to an exisiting program

- Convert an existing program: self-support to state / state to self-support
Program Suspension or Discontinuation
Use this process to temporarily suspend or permanently discontinue an academic program.

- When new degrees, concentrations, minors, certificates are approved , they are entered into PeopleSoft with a new academic plan code. View this guidance document for more information.
Master Lists
- Using a master list of degree programs and reporting CSU Major/ CIP codes [pdf], campuses report data to the Chancellor’s Office on applications, enrollments, and degrees granted.

- The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) STEM Designated Degree Program List [pdf] is a complete list of fields of study that DHS considers to be science, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM) fields of study. For additional resources, visit the DHS website.

- Find a community college that has an AA-T or AS-T for a program.
- Search Degrees at the CSU.
Annual Catalog Review
- The Annual Catalog Review is usually sent annually to department chairs and directors for review in February to March. View the Annual Catalog Review guidance document for more information.
