Community Health Equity

Community Health Equity is a collaborative initiative with SJSU Human Rights Institute (HRI) that centers the voices and lived experiences of community members to guide strategies for health and wellness.
Through active preventive programs, community education, and engaging activities for youth, families, and caregivers, we work to support physical, relational, and mental wellness across the lifespan.
Grounded in culturally sustaining practices, primary prevention, and an understanding of the social determinants of health, our programs emphasize the healthy development of children and youth, the well-being of families, and the collective strength of the community.
