Graduate Projects Initiation Meeting - Fall 2026 Projects Orientation [pptx]

May 1, through May 20, 2026

  1. Search for Possible Projects 
  2. Contact ME Professors and select a Committee Chair
  3. Form Advisory Committee
  4. Submit Candidacy Form 
  5. Conduct a literature search on the project topic and prepare a draft of the project proposal.

August 20,2026 through September 8, 2026

  1. Finalize the draft of the project proposal
  2. Have the proposal approved by the advisory committee (Docusign)
  3. Submit the proposal to the department office (DocuSign)

September 8, 2026

 Submit the approved proposal to the ME Office for approval by the Graduate Advisor and the Department Chair.

September 15, 2026

University Deadline for adding a course

Note:

  1. The proposal must be approved by the Advisory committee, Graduate Advisor, and the Department Chair.
  2. After the proposal is fully approved, you can obtain the add code from the Department Office.
  3. All forms for the MSME Project/Thesis Presentation can be found on the Additional Forms page.
